Recruitment Case Study
The following gives an example of the rigorous process we go through for each vacancy.
Our recruitment division was recommended to a leading Member of The Stock Exchange, to recruit a new monitoring officer, responsible for checking the quality of advice given to clients of the firm. We visited the client, met the CEO and toured the firm to assess the culture and ethos of the firm and assisted in the construction of a job description for the role, which was subsequently agreed with the client.
A key element of the search and selection was to test the practical abilities of the candidates in interpreting real time conversations for compliance within the spirit and letter of the FSA rules, TCF principles and DPA requirements. As part of this, we wrote a detailed case study and marking scheme and put the short list of screened and interviewed candidates through the exercise to test their knowledge, understanding and application of the rules.
Eventually an outstanding candidate was recruited who met all the requirements of the firm and who has been in his role for over 6 months.
